The first scandal related to the income of deputies began in St. Petersburg. The speaker of the St. Petersburg Zachs, Alexander Belsky, came under attack. Now the parliamentarian will have to explain where he got the money to buy a car worth 10 million. Concerned citizens have already filed a complaint against Belsky with the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov.

The parliamentary reporting on their income resulted in embarrassment at the federal level. The people’s representatives took advantage of the right now given to them by law and submitted their income declarations in an anonymous format. Among those who decided that they had nothing to hide from the electorate was the speaker of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg – Alexander Belsky. But this was not the only thing that stirred the minds of St. Petersburg residents. Such a purchase, the applicant considered, does not in any way interfere with Belsky’s stated official income.
Moreover, an old story immediately surfaced in popular telegram channels. Belsky was again reminded of his love for luxury clothing. The comments are full of sarcasm:
“Indeed, in LV sneakers for 100 thousand on a cleanup day it’s somehow more fun to row a rake, and in a Zilli jacket for 600 thousand under the heating main it’s more respectable to portray a strong business executive.”
The comment refers to an old episode, when during a patriotic concert dedicated to the annexation of Crimea, Alexander Belsky was seen wearing a belt from Zilli, which did not fit well with his outfit, but fit well. 100 thousand rubles.

They referred to the fact that they received large sums as gifts from relatives, and simply saved some of the money. As a result, the court turned into the income of the Russian Federation only the Volkswagen Touareg, owned by a municipal deputy. The court rejected the rest of the demands.
But, as they say, the worst is the beginning. The other day, the prosecutor of St. Petersburg Victor Melnik filed a similar claim in court. The defendant is the former head of the department for work with personnel of the Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. The supervisory authority considered that he and his close relatives purchased, with unconfirmed income, 3 apartments and a share in the right of common shared ownership of non-residential premises – a parking lot, with a total value of more than 44 million rubles. The court fully satisfied the prosecutor’s demands and placed control over the actual execution of the court decision.
