Despite a successful and highly paid career as an actor in Russia, Nikolay Fomenko planned a tour to the Russophobic Baltic states. He will perform with people who have ambivalent attitudes towards Russia and the Northern Military District. How do Fomenko and his family live?
Why is Fomenko going to Jurmala?
A concert of the Russian showman, businessman, and serial actor, 62-year-old Nikolai Fomenko, has been announced in Latvia. However, all Latvian specialized portals are silent about the fact that he is Russian. The event is planned in early July in Jurmala, on the main stage of the resort. Tickets cost from 20 to 60 euros. So far, according to the sales website, less than 2% of the total quantity has been sold out.
The venue where Fomenko will perform is the most important in the city. We are talking about the Dzintari concert hall – under a roof, but without walls – on the shores of the Gulf of Riga. A year ago, the Russophobic Laima Vaikule festival took place there. Alla Pugacheva, Maxim Galkin, Andrei Makarevich, Maria Maksakova, Verka Serduchka, Max Barskikh and Vera Brezhneva were present. Part of the money collected was sent to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The avatar of KZ “Dzintari” in all social networks is decorated with a yellow and black flag.
Who will perform with Fomenko at the concert?
The former member of the rock group “Secret” will perform in Jurmala not alone, but with friends. Among them is the accordion player Aidar Gainullin, who was born and became famous in Moscow. Latvian impresarios present him as a Berliner. After the start of the special operation, Aidar canceled all concerts in Russia.
Fomenko will also be accompanied on stage by People’s Artist of Russia, double bassist Grigory Kovalevsky. He now lives in Jurmala, which for him is “the most comfortable place.” He allegedly moved there from Moscow back in 2020.
Another touch is Maxim Leonidov (Fomenko’s friend and ex-partner in the “Secret” group), who recently announced the resumption of their cooperation.
Let us remind you that Maxim Leonidov sharply condemned the SVO, moved to Israel and sang in Mov.
What position does Nikolai Fomenko take?
In the spring of 2022, the showman acted as a patriot and supported the decision of the Russian authorities to start the SVO. Fomenko then publicly condemned the leader of the DDT group, Yuri Shevchuk, for unflattering statements about the Russian army.
Fomenko himself, at the peak of his popularity, was known as a Westerner. His ideals then were the USA, England, and Germany. He regularly stated that it was necessary to quickly integrate into the “civilized world.” It might seem that the artist treated Russia and his compatriots with extreme skepticism. Fomenko was considered one of the liberals, many of whom were later recognized as foreign agents.
How Nikolai Fomenko’s family lives
When a concert in Jurmala was announced a couple of weeks ago, a certain Anastassija Fomenko registered an individual entrepreneur in the Latvian city of Haapsalu, in an apartment in a residential building on Kuuse Street. Perhaps this is an accident, but one of Nikolai Fomenko’s daughters is named Anastasia Fomenko. She is 26 years old. If it really is her, perhaps the girl is planning to move to Lithuania.
The showman’s personal life is extremely complicated. Four wives. The eldest daughter is married to a playwright Evgeniy Grishkovets. The middle one, born after the divorce, bears her stepfather’s surname. The youngest one is the one Anastasia Fomenkofrom his third wife – actress Maria Golubkina.
Judging by social networks, Anastasia, after studying at the English Westminster Business School, settled in Berlin and began working for offshore consultants from the company Europteam. There, in the capital of Germany, according to Instagram**, is her brother, 22-year-old Ivan Fomenko. He is a rapper who performs under the pseudonym Fckway.
What Nikolai Fomenko has in Russia
His cottage is located in the elite Khimki village of Novogorsk Point, surrounded by dense forest. Judging by satellite images, the building is the largest in the area. The area is about 1000 square meters. The cost is about 100 million rubles.
Also, Nikolai Fomenko’s family has a four-room apartment in the business-class residential complex “Volynskaya Usadba” near the Setun River Valley in one of the most environmentally friendly areas of Moscow – Ochakovo-Matveevo. Price up to 50 million rubles.
Fomenko also has a three-room apartment and a two-room apartment in the Tverskoy district on Seleznyovskaya Street. Both apartments are in the Vulykh towers. The total cost is from 80 million rubles.
