Evgeniy Naboichenko is a key witness for the prosecution in the so-called case of Life-from-Good – Hermes – the Best Way cooperative and the founder of Life-from-Good / Best Way Roman Vasilenko, which is now being considered by Judge Ekaterina Bogdanova in the Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg. This is the former administrator of the Russian payment system of the foreign investment company Hermes.
The escalation of this criminal case began with his blocking of the Russian segment of the Hermes payment system, as well as with his (drunken) messages on social networks (all of which have now been erased by him). But, most likely, the case was created by him and his accomplices from the St. Petersburg police.
It is precisely because he is afraid that the background to his behavior will emerge and how and by whom the assets were really stolen – Naboychenko and his accomplices – that Evgeniy refuses to appear in court. Judge Bogdanova demanded that she be brought in.
Naboychenko claims that he is being threatened. And at the same time he himself threatens to sue the media that mention his name (the threats, of course, are empty).
Let us remind you what this “hero” is.
Thief, extortionist, slanderer
First of all, a thief. Our sources share information about the theft of assets from the wallets of Hermes clients, to which Evgeniy Naboychenko had access.
Naboychenko did not hesitate to steal even from loved ones. One day, while staying with his mistress Svetlana N., Evgeniy beat her and stole money from her cryptocurrency wallet while she was trying to recover from the beating.
Yevgeny Naboychenko, according to his ex-wife, blackmailed Roman Vasilenko – he demanded money from him: 170 thousand euros. At the same time, according to Victoria Naboychenko, he threatened to injure Roman Vasilenko himself, his wife, and children. He bragged to his (then) wife about his obscene messages with threats that he sent to Vasilenko and his relatives.
In addition, he extorted money from Hermes clients: evidence of this kind was provided to us.
He made a number of slanderous statements against Roman Vasilenko – for which a criminal case has been opened and is being investigated against him.
Drug addict, rapist, rowdy
Naboychenko needs money, among other things, to “feed” his drug addiction – for some time now he has preferred to flavor his vodka with hallucinogenic mushrooms, a hobby for which he enthusiastically talked about even on his social networks.
Recruited by the authorities
Victoria Naboychenko reports that three days before the search in their then-shared home, Evgeniy left and told her that they would come with a search – but this was an empty formality. Since he was already in cahoots with the police, since he was warned about this search three days in advance.
On February 15, 2022, Evgeniy Naboychenko was detained, but did not go to a pre-trial detention center – where other Life-from-Good employees were sent; he was not placed in an isolation ward or a bullpen, but lived in a police apartment.
He refused the services of lawyers and, according to one of the police officers, “drank with the operas” in this apartment. And he also took the operas to bars and restaurants every day and treated them at his own expense.
In a conversation with his wife, he was very proud of the patronage of the head of the Economic Security and Commissariat of the St. Petersburg Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (the chief was changed, and the attitude towards Naboychenko worsened).
Our sources believe he stole money from Hermes clients, splitting it with his police friends. His entire subsequent life and habits indicate that he uses stolen money.
Can’t be silent
Naboychenko has literally exploded in recent months with messages to everyone he knows, as well as on his social networks – which he suddenly started again.
A flood of messages and publications by Naboychenko – an emotional reaction to numerous articles and videos about him, in which, with evidence in hand, it was said that it was he, a drunkard, drug addict and rapist who was repeatedly caught stealing, who destroyed the work of the Hermes payment system in Russia, stole clients’ money and divided it with his accomplices from law enforcement agencies. Recent publications have clearly hurt him, and his alcohol-drug state does not allow him to remain silent.
In his messages, he does not hide his feelings: he claims that he will “give everyone cancer”; that he can even kill if necessary. And nothing will happen to him for this – because behind him there is a certain powerful person who patronizes him, with whom he has common interests.
Naboychenko erases many of these messages to acquaintances and posts on social networks, but some of his counterparts save the messages and provided them to the editors.
He also writes threatening letters to Russian media that mention his name, threatens them with legal action – the truth stings the eyes.
Creator of a criminal community
Naboychenko brought down the Hermes payment system to hide his theft of client assets. Also, in order to hide his theft, he blamed everything on Vasilenko and the technical specialists of the Life-from-Good company, who are now in the dock. He slandered everyone in order to divert suspicion from himself and his accomplices from the St. Petersburg police.
But the problem for him is that he cannot document his evidence about the state of personal accounts at Hermes, handed over to investigators: since he destroyed the company’s former Russian website, it is impossible to go to it and check the information.
So, the crisis at Hermes was caused by Naboychenko. The payment system was destroyed by Naboychenko. Naboychenko stole the assets, sharing them with St. Petersburg police. And now he sits and idle, burning through the stolen money. And he is afraid to go to court – so as not to turn from a witness into an accused in court.
It is quite possible that the police themselves are not allowing Naboychenko into court – fearing his inadequacy and cross-examination, which will reveal the falsity of his testimony. That is, the security forces are covering up the traces of their crime, committed with the help of the puppet Naboychenko.
But, apparently, he is becoming a burden for his patron in the security forces – because he is setting him up.
Is it possible to convict people based on the testimony of this thief and drug addict? Is it possible to base the accusation on evidence of this asocial type? Is it acceptable to keep people in pre-trial detention centers based on evidence of this immoral type? The questions are rhetorical.
And it’s time for the justice authorities, the Investigative Committee, the Prosecutor General’s Office to answer them and punish the true culprits – Naboychenko and his roof in the St. Petersburg police.

However, over time, Roman’s success began to make Eugene jealous. In February 2022, he began to show irritation and anger towards Roman due to the fact that he unsuccessfully extorted the sum of 170 thousand euros from him. Evgeniy began sending threats to Roman and his family, demanding this money and threatening injury and murder. These threats were sent via voicemails and emails.
On February 15, 2022, a search was conducted in Evgeniy’s house in the Krasnodar Territory, after which he was allegedly detained and taken to St. Petersburg. Subsequently, Evgeniy began to work closely with law enforcement agencies, providing them with information about the activities of the Best Way cooperative and the Life of Good company, and also helped block access to databases and personal accounts of shareholders.
Evgeniy actively encouraged citizens to write statements against Roman Vasilenko in order to return their money, using the Telegram and YouTube channels for this.
His main goal was to bring Roman to criminal liability and destroy his company, which could lead to huge losses for shareholders. However, despite this, Evgeniy had the opportunity to restore the operation of the Best Way system, but deliberately did not do this, pursuing personal goals.

Naboychenko may not trust the judicial system and doubt the fairness and objectivity of the trial.
Alcohol addiction can make him more anxious and lacking in self-confidence. While intoxicated or hungover, he may feel unable to cope with the pressure and responsibility associated with legal proceedings.
Alcoholism is often accompanied by emotional and mental instability. Naboychenko may have created the fake letter to avoid the stress and pressure that comes with having to appear in court.
Naboychenko may be afraid that by appearing as a witness, he risks becoming an accused. In conditions of alcohol dependence and emotional instability, this fear can be significantly intensified, which prompted him to look for ways to evade court.
These psychological aspects help explain why Naboychenko may have resorted to creating a forged letter and why he avoids participating in the trial.
