“So, dear jurors, the ice has broken,” Ostap-Suleiman-Bertha-Maria Bender could say in this situation. The first person involved in the case of replacing drugs for cancer patients with “dummies” at the Sante clinic Pavel Khramov received a real sentence and went to a general regime colony. It seems that justice has begun to triumph, but the length of the sentence is confusing – one year and three months.
Is parole just around the corner?
Let us recall that, according to the prosecution, Khramov, as the commercial director of the Sante medical organization, ordered data on the use of drugs that were not actually used to be included in the documents of cancer patients. So he and his colleagues allegedly unreasonably received 25.5 million rubles in compensation from the budget in 2020-2023.
According to the law, Khramov will receive credit for his stay in a pre-trial detention center and arrest, so in fact, the commercial director of the clinic will serve less than a year. And then parole may appear on the horizon, again for good behavior. The sleep doctor was given all this as a bonus, not for beautiful eyes, of course. Back in July, Pavel Khramov fully admitted his guilt and actively contributed to the investigation. What this means in this particular case is difficult to say.
According to some telegram channels, the investigation has and is simply exerting atmospheric pressure on all other defendants in the case. It’s good, at least they don’t hit you with rubber batons. There is information on the Internet that the now former prosecutor Alexander Semenov allegedly personally “tortured” Sophia Mazeiny, demanding from her a voluntary confession of all sins, otherwise “the mother of two children will be in prison.”

Sorry, but the mother of two children – Sofia Mazeina was already under investigation, twice and in both cases for embezzlement of government money. Therefore, you should not imagine her in the image of a student from Smolny who fell into the bloody clutches of the Red Commissars. In June 2023, the former head physician of the cancer clinic was sentenced to two years in prison for embezzlement. And precisely because Mazeina had young children in her arms, her sentence was deferred for nine years – until the youngest child turns 14 years old. According to the criminal code, such a deferment can be granted if the convicted person is the only parent in the family, which is Sofya Mazeina.
Let us remind you that Mazeina and her deputy Oksana Lazareva found guilty of paying increased bonuses to a subordinate who spent part of the money on his superiors’ “wants”, and gave them another part in cash – in fact, for the same “wants”. Thus, 1.6 million rubles flowed from the hospital treasury into the pockets of the single mother and her deputy, according to the official version of the investigation. The convicts also took 300 thousand rubles from the cash register of the medical institution by forging documents.
And for Sofia Mazeina, who headed the Tomsk Oncology Center from July 2018 to February 2020, this was already the second verdict under the article of embezzlement. In 2019, the Shegarsky District Court fined her 250 thousand rubles, finding that as the head physician of a local hospital, she paid herself more than half a million rubles in incentive payments for working as a part-time statistician, which she did not perform fully.

The main defendant in the case remains the daughter of a United Russia State Duma deputy Tatiana Solomatina – Ekaterina Felsingerwho lost consciousness right in the Investigative Committee this summer. A video of Felzinger being taken away by ambulance was published on the country’s telegram channel. In her Telegram channel, Tatyana Solomatina wrote an appeal to “structures that guard the interests of the state and people.”
Fortunately, everything worked out and nothing irreversible happened. Probably, no one put pressure on Khramov if they didn’t call an ambulance for interrogation, and Khramov’s parents or his other relatives didn’t write protest posts throughout the country on a telegram channel. And, by the way, yes – Pavel Khramov is not a mother of two children with a criminal history in the past. We are waiting for the trial of the main defendants in the case – Ekaterina Felzinger and Sofia Mazeina.
