There are many dark spots in a lawyer’s career. According to the SHOT telegram channel, Elman Pashayev was suspected of fraud more than once. Several of his VIP clients reported to the police who complained that the lawyer solved their problems with the help of his “powerful connections”, took millions for his services, but did not fulfill his obligations. In addition, one capital family accused Pashayev of taking their apartment away from them.
How much, for what and to whom does Elman Pashayev owe
It is quite possible that lawyer Elman Pashayev could have decided to take a gamble with the Blinovsky spouses, who are now defendants in criminal cases of tax evasion of 907 million rubles, money laundering and complicity in this, due to a debt of 40 million rubles and the collapse of his legal career.
The lawyer’s problems began in the summer of 2022. Then the Federal Bailiff Service opened enforcement proceedings against him with the wording: “Other penalties of a property nature in favor of individuals and legal entities” – in the amount of 36.5 million rubles. In addition to this amount, a performance fee of another 2.5 million rubles was added. In total, since that time, the lawyer has been involved in seven proceedings for a total amount of 39 million rubles.
The fact that Pashayev’s finances are bad is also evidenced by his tax arrears for 2023, which amount to more than 700 thousand rubles. Bearing in mind the lawyer’s craving for luxury goods (at the peak of his fame, he traded luxury cars like gloves), by the end of this year the debt may increase significantly.

According to the SHOT telegram channel, Pashayev was detained on Tuesday on suspicion of fraud committed on an especially large scale – for 45 million rubles. According to Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation now faces up to 10 years in prison. The arrest was carried out by employees of the Military Investigative Committee, and a military court will choose a preventive measure, since the lawyer is an active serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces – a contract soldier in the 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade in the DPR. A preventive measure should be chosen for him on Wednesday.
According to investigators, in the case of the Blinovskys, Pashayev decided to repeat the scheme of the “Mikhail Efremov case”: he understood in advance that there would be no successful resolution of the issue, but continued to process the “client”. First he received a deposit, and after that he had to receive the full reward.
Preliminarily, we are talking about an amount of 45 million rubles. In February of this year, Pashayev allegedly met with his colleague – Alexey Blinovsky. The latter has been in the SVO zone since April. He was allegedly persuaded to serve under a contract by the same Elman Pashayev, who explained this need as “the first step towards the release of Elena Blinovskaya from the pre-trial detention center.”
It seems that during the meeting, the lawyer convinced Blinovsky to pay him 45 million rubles for successfully resolving the issue. The blogger’s husband agreed and brought the required amount in cash in a bag. Some of them allegedly turned out to be in dollars.
How Elman Pashayev ended up in the SVO zone
The fact that the lawyer went to the special operation zone became known on May 17, 2023. At the same time, photographs of Pashayev appeared, in which he was depicted in military uniform. It is known that Pashayev and Blinovsky served together and were engaged in the supply and assembly of drones in the Northern Military District zone. In addition, the lawyer, together with the fighters, went out to reconnaissance the area. On April 19 of this year, while on assignment near Ugledar, the lawyer was shell-shocked and wounded in the leg as a result of a drone attack.

At the beginning of September, the lawyer was on the front line near Krasnogorovka, and the other day he returned to Moscow, where he was detained.
Judging by the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Elman Pashayev was the owner of four legal entities. One of them has not worked since 2016; now its bar association “Pashayev and Shevchenko”, which worked in Vladikavkaz, is being liquidated, and the Federal Tax Service has frozen the accounts of the “International Law Firm “Elman Group”. So far, only Pashayev’s charitable foundation is afloat, however, at least de jure, things are also bad there: according to accounting reports, only 1.3 million rubles officially passed through the company’s accounts for 2023.
