The advertisement for the sale of an apartment on the “golden” Ostozhenka of the leader of the Mumiy Troll group has been closed Ilya Lagutenko. The singer himself is now in Los Angeles. He condemned the special operation immediately after it began. How does the star live now and how much does he earn?
What position does Lagutenko take?
Immediately after the start of the special operation, an anti-war post appeared on the official social networks of the rock group Mumiy Troll:
As Life.ru found out, the family of the group leader, 55-year-old Ilya Lagutenko, moved to Los Angeles a long time ago. According to American databases, the rocker owns a luxurious mansion on Mulholland Drive near Hollywood. The asset was purchased back in the 2000s, and in 2018 it was transferred to the registered trust Lagutenko Ilya Co. Aivl Family Trust. Now Lagutenko’s Hollywood real estate is valued at up to three million dollars. The price is justified: the property is located on the top of a hill, offering a beautiful view of the City of Angels, and has its own swimming pool, lawn and forest.
Last year, Ilya paid 26 thousand dollars in taxes for this mansion (about 2.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
Ilya Lagutenko’s office is also located in Los Angeles. The artist is listed as the president of Captain Music, a company registered in the local business center. Renting such an office is not cheap: from the windows you can see the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains. Now Lagutenko is preparing a large tour of the United States, said his colleague recognized as a foreign agent Maxim Pokrovsky*. By the way, Mumiy Troll hasn’t had big performances for a long time. Recently, the group has given concerts at small venues in Bali, Dubai, Almaty, Phuket and Tbilisi.
At the same time, Ilya Lagutenko is struggling to develop his new project, designed for English-speaking listeners. It’s called “Will Louth”. Under this pseudonym, Lagutenko has already recorded three videos in English and posted them on YouTube. They have few views – only 150 thousand in three months.
While abroad, Lagutenko spends a lot of time with the relocants who condemned the SVO. Recently, for example, I met with Ilya Prusikin* from Little Big, and their joint photo was published by Ukrainian blogger Yan Gordienko, who is radical towards Russia.
How Lagutenko earns 100 million in Russia
Ilya Lagutenko is in no hurry to part with his business in Russia. An individual entrepreneur has been registered in his name, managing six trademarks, including Mumiy Troll Music Bar. This is a fashionable, expensive establishment with strict face control on Novy Arbat. According to reporting, it is controlled by third parties through the Profit Realty company, whose income last year reached 106 million rubles. Part of the profit will go to Ilya in the USA.
Ilya Lagutenko also has a stake in the Laguna company, which is engaged in the wholesale and retail sale of music recordings. However, the main beneficiaries of the legal entity are the singer’s mother and stepfather. Income is unstable: in the amount of over 320 million rubles over the past five years.
What kind of real estate does the singer’s family have?
The family has luxury real estate, which is probably being sold in a hurry. Before leaving the country, Ilya Lagutenko spent time in the most expensive area of Moscow – on Ostozhenka Street (a monument of federal significance). We are talking about a reconstructed pre-revolutionary building, built by the famous architect Konstantin Melnikov. Lagutenko occupied a four-room apartment there. It has already been put up for sale twice (this and last spring) for 105 million rubles, but it is unknown whether it was sold.
The owners have either already found a buyer, this could have happened about a couple of months ago, or they are simply afraid of publicity.
The singer’s country residence is located near the cottage village “Princely Lake” on Novorizhskoye Highway. This is ten acres of land, two three-level cottages, a guest house and a bath complex with a swimming pool. Professionals worked on the design.
This is not all the real estate of Ilya Lagutenko’s family. She may still have three rubles in the St. Petersburg apartment building of Evmentiev (up to 20 million rubles) and a Moscow Stalinist apartment near the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo park.
How Ilya Lagutenko went to success
Ilya Lagutenko is a typical child of the Soviet nomenklatura. For some unknown reason, his own and great-uncles were brought up in the house of the great architect Alexey Shchusev. The first subsequently headed the Main Architectural and Planning Department of Moscow and is considered the author of the famous Khrushchev buildings. The second became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, drawing heroes of the country and episodes of the Great Patriotic War.
The singer’s father, also an architect by profession, died early: after this the family moved to Vladivostok, the homeland of the fashion designer-mother. Ilya’s stepfather is a sea captain.
In the capital of Primorye, Ilya Lagutenko received a promising education: first he studied at a local privileged school with in-depth study of the Chinese language, then at the Far Eastern University at the Department of Oriental Studies.
Already in his school years, Lagutenko put together his own rock band. As the singer later admitted, unlike millions of other Soviet children, he always had access to recordings of Western performers banned in the Soviet Union. For example, Queen, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper and Kiss.
The Mumiy Troll group was founded by Ilya Lagutenko in 1983, and soon after that the first studio album was released. But then a long break suddenly began in the musical career of the future star. Lagutenko went to serve in the Pacific Fleet (probably at the suggestion of his stepfather), then trained as a commercial adviser in China and England. He returned to Russia only in the second half of the nineties. That’s when Mumiy Troll thundered throughout the country.
Throughout the 2000s and most of the 1900s, Lagutenko was a superstar. Later he retrained as a producer and organizer of international festivals.
Where is the family of the leader of Mumiy Troll?
The leader of Mumiy Troll is married twice. From his first wife he has a 36-year-old son, Igor. They write about the guy that he settled in London and became a professional rugby player there. Judging by social networks, Igor Lagutenko really lives in England, but he is not an athlete, but a manager of an investment fund specializing in investments in cryptocurrencies.
The singer’s first wife allegedly left him because of his numerous infidelities. The second wife was a gymnast and model Anna Zhukovawho is eleven years younger than him. The couple is raising two teenage daughters.
