Instatelka with a machine gun: How singer Tina Karol, who went over to the side of Ukraine, was going to fight against Russia

A native of Magadan Tatiana Libermanand now a Ukrainian singer and actress Tina Karolb completed a military training course in a Nazi camp from “Azov”* and is about to go to the front. What is known about her?

What did the militants teach Karol?

Tina Karol published new photos and videos from the Azov camp*, where she completed a military training course in tactical medicine using the ASM MARCH protocol, learned to hold a weapon and shoot. According to the artist, she was taught everything useful by veterans of the Nazi battalion. She intends to visit the war zone in the near future. However, in Ukraine this was regarded as cheap PR – they say that the former Russian singer once again wants to be seen as an ardent patriot of her new Motherland.

Say NO to chaos!

39-year-old native of Magadan Tatyana Lieberman (real name Karol) is glorified in Ukraine as a talented singer who managed to independently reach the pop Olympus. And recently also as a heroic woman, devoted to Zelensky, defending the freedom and independence of the country from the stage.

The Internet is replete with complimentary interviews with her, and the Internet is full of other positive articles. From the abundance of such materials, one even gets the impression that in Ukraine there are no longer performers comparable in scale to Karol.

How Tina Karol helped Pugacheva

A native of Magadan, Tatyana Lieberman first appeared on Ukrainian TV in 2005 at one of the local talent shows. Despite the modest results (at that time she could not win), the 20-year-old participant, who came to Kyiv from Ivano-Frankovsk, was noticed by producers, and in the same year the artist went to the New Wave 2005 festival in Jurmala, Latvia.

Here she was lucky for the second time – the girl managed to charm the jury present there Alla Pugacheva. The then Diva presented her with her own prize, “Alla’s Golden Star” and 50 thousand dollars. With this money, Lieberman shot her first video and began to turn into Tina Karol, already known to the viewer.

In 2006, the whole country was rooting for the artist who qualified for the Eurovision final from Ukraine. There Karol took seventh place, but this was enough to finally establish herself as a Ukrainian pop star.

At that time, the singer’s repertoire included a lot of Russian-language songs, joint projects with Russian pop stars (for example, with Sergei Lazarev and Stas Mikhailov). By the way, one of her main hits, the Russian-language song “Nochenka,” which was very much loved by Russian audiences, was translated into Ukrainian in August of this year. Even the Nezalezhnaya news agencies wrote about this seemingly epoch-making event.

Why did the singer rely on the authorities and the Armed Forces of Ukraine?

Lieberman was not content with only success on the stage; she began to closely cooperate with the Ukrainian authorities. A year before her television debut in 2005, she got a position as a soloist in the song and dance ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thanks to this, after success on the “New Wave”, she first went to perform in front of the international peacekeeping contingent in Iraq, which included Ukrainian military personnel, and after that she went to Kosovo with a solo concert. Upon her return, Karol received the Order “For Peacekeeping Missions” from the Ministry of Defense, as well as two awards – “Singer of the Year” and “Discovery of the Year”.

This strategy brought her the favor of two Ukrainian presidents: Viktor Yushchenko awarded the singer the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine, and Petro Poroshenko - People's Artist of Ukraine. This strategy brought her the favor of two Ukrainian presidents: Viktor Yushchenko awarded the singer the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine, and Petro Poroshenko – People’s Artist of Ukraine.

In addition, Carol has the Order of Princess Olga, which in Ukraine is awarded to women for services in state, industrial, civil, scientific, educational, cultural, charitable and other spheres of public activity, as well as the medal “For Valor and Labor” – “for significant personal contribution to the development of economic, scientific and technical, socio-cultural, military, state, public and other spheres of activity.”

What connects Karol and Kolomoisky

Since the end of the 2000s, Karol has firmly established herself on one of the popular all-Ukrainian TV channels – “1+1”. Here, over the years, she has been involved in several large-scale projects, including the local version of “The Voice. Children.” And in 2016, the singer’s team presented another big project – “A Christmas Story with Tina Karol.”

It seems that such attention to the singer from the TV channel is not accidental. There have long been rumors in Ukraine that Karol is the mistress of the oligarch and owner of “1+1” Igor Kolomoisky. It is believed that he still helps her in various projects, lobbying for Karol’s participation in government events.

For the first time, information about the singer’s new relationship with Kolomoisky leaked to the Ukrainian segment of the Internet, allegedly thanks to the girls from her ballet. They say that the dancers more than once noticed a middle-aged oligarch in the dressing room of their boss.

However, Kolomoisky has no time for singing right now. The head of the Kyiv regime, Zelensky, deprived the businessman of Ukrainian citizenship. The last time we heard about Kolomoisky was only in connection with a search carried out in one of his mansions in Transcarpathia by employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

In Ukraine, a criminal case is currently being investigated regarding the misappropriation of property and funds of the oil and gas production company Ukrnafta in the amount of 13 billion hryvnia (more than $350 million at the current exchange rate).

Perhaps Karol has recently realized that it is worth getting rid of her toxic patron. Now on her social networks, even without the latest Russophobic outburst, you can see a huge number of photographs and videos taken among Ukrainian soldiers and/or under the flags of Independence, accompanied by the singer’s patriotic comments in language.

Last year, Tina Karol, during a concert dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day, sang on stage against the background of a video with the Kremlin burning. It seems that the artist sees an opportunity to remain in the public sphere only thanks to the strengthening of anti-Russian rhetoric.
